Why we call ourselves Gatekeepers
From the very beginning, mankind has only had one calling: To be a kingdom of priests, a people united around the presence of God and committed to serving the Lord in holiness. This calling was symbolized in the gatekeepers of the Old Testament. These priests were appointed by David and were called to live holy lives, and spend day and night in the presence of God. They had the unique honor of opening the gates of the tabernacle every morning so that others may enter His presence.
In an hour marked by apathy and deception, we believe the Lord is raising up gatekeepers across the earth.
A people who will devote their life to worship, prayer, and sacrificial love and who will prioritize the presence of God above all else.
Our mandate is to raise up this people who, like the gatekeepers of old, will spend all their days focused on the one thing that matters, seeking the face of God.
We invite you to worship the Lord with us and submit ourselves to the teaching of the Word each Thursday at 7pm!

Meet the Pastor
Billy Humphrey
Billy Humphrey carries a burning passion for revival and preparing a generation for the return of the Lord.
In 2004, after serving 13 years as the youth pastor at Victory Church, Billy, along with a group of leaders, planted the International House of Prayer Atlanta (IHOP Atlanta) in Lawrenceville, GA. Within 2 years the house of prayer went 24/7 with live worship and prayer taking place around the clock.
In 2018, IHOP Atlanta merged with NewBridge Church to form a new spiritual family centered in live 24/7 worship and prayer.
In 2021, after 3 years of operating under two names, IHOP Atlanta and NewBridge Church retired their respective names and came under one name: GateCity Church.
Today, Billy serves as the director of GateCity Church, a spiritual family of multiple cultures and generations, centered around 24/7 live worship and prayer. GateCity has bases planted in 7 nations with prayer and mission focused on bringing the Gospel to the unreached. As well as leading the Young Adults here at Gatekeepers!
He is married to his beautiful wife Maribeth and blessed with 4 wonderful children. He is the author of 3 books, The Culture of the Kingdom, Unceasing, and To Know Him.
FAQs
What is your service like?
At Gatekeepers, we value freedom in worship and the preaching of the Word. You can expect 45-60 minutes of worship that’s full of dancing, singing, shouting, weeping, and prayer. Then a 45-60 minute sermon and typically a time to respond in prayer and worship. All of that is followed by fellowship in the lobby at around 10pm.
Do you have an age range?
18-25ish!
