Forerunner School of Ministry
IHOP Atlanta’s Forerunner School of Ministry is dedicated to engaging students’ hearts in intimacy with Jesus, equipping them to proclaim the gospel and do the works of ministry, fueled by a life of intercession.
Our five core areas of study are: Intimacy with God, Foundations of Biblical Theology, Supernatural Ministry, End Times, and The Global Prayer and Missions Movement. Students have the unique opportunity for classroom training, hands-on ministry, and small group discipleship, all centered in the environment of IHOP Atlanta’s 24/7 prayer room.

The Life of David
Instructor: Ben Melancon
Mondays 6:30-8:00 PM
As the sweet psalmist of Israel, an ancestor of Christ, and the founder of a dynasty of kings, David commands our deep respect. The life of David is the most extensively narrated story in the Bible after the life of Jesus, and is a sure witness of God’s unfailing commitment to all who walk before Him as David did. Students survey David’s life, and progress along the prophetic journey of becoming lovesick worshippers of God.
The Greatest Commandment
Instructors: Hazen Stevens, Kyle Borgognoni and Gabe Palmer
Tuesdays 6:30-8:00 PM
We were created with a longing to be wholehearted. Nothing satisfies the human spirit more than giving the deepest affections of our heart to God. How do we do this? What does it look like to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength? How do we love others with the same love God has? In this class, the 1st and 2nd Commandment will be put on display and learn to “love the LORD . . . with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first and great commandment” (Mt. 22:35–38).
Attributes of God
Instructor: Steven Ugan
Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 PM
The goal of this course is to help students expand their mental view and heart experience of God. In The Knowledge of the Holy, A. W. Tozer exhorted: “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” Jesus, in His prayer as the High Priest, prayed, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God” (Jn. 17:3). This class explores the perfections of God as they are revealed in the Holy Scriptures, that the knowledge of God might escort us to deeper levels of faith, hope, and love.
