Claim the Testimonies of the Ages
Hannah Stevens
December 3rd, 2011

There is no question about it; there is power in proclaiming the testimony of God’s acts and character.  Testimonies remind us of who God is, strengthen us, and give us hope and faith for God to move in our own lives.  Stories abound of hungry individuals who suffered from infirmities, heard the testimony of one with a like condition being healed, and pulled down the same promise for themselves unto healing for their bodies or hearts.

God is not a respecter of persons. (Acts 10:34-35)  What He does for one, He will do for all.  And He is also the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His workings of the past ages and generations have the ability to stir us up and give us faith for our present lives.  We are part of the same story that began when God said, “Let there be light.”   The God that whispered into Abraham’s heart and called him to a life of pilgrimage is the same God that woos you with His still small voice and speaks to you of your heavenly home.  He does not change.

In Psalm 77, Asaph is working through the troubles of His soul stirred up by his questions about who God is and how He relates to His people.  In his moment of questioning, he chooses to remember the deeds of the Lord, not from his own lifetime or personal history, but from God’s redemptive hand at work in generations past. These musings stir him to adoration, saying, “What god is great like our God?  You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples.”   Asaph then describes the parting of the Red Sea in verses 16-20 as if he himself had been there witnessing the glorious spectacle of God baring His arm before His people.

I want to so identify with God’s redemptive working throughout His-Story that I can claim the testimonies of the past generations as if they happened to me personally.  I want to marvel at the God of wonders.  I want to know Him as the Israelites did when they encountered His mighty deliverance at the Red Sea.  I want to know their emotions: the initial ecstasy of freedom from slavery, the dread of being pursued by Egyptian hordes, the wavering hope as they find themselves trapped against a huge body of water with no escape.   I want to experience the delight and zeal of the Father as His whirlwind drew near, as His footsteps trod a path through the mighty waters, as He revealed Himself as the Salvation of Israel. This is part of my story, of our story.  We are all a part of His story.  I believe there is an inheritance and impartation of faith available for those who remember these testimonies and make them a part of their own journey.  Let’s claim the testimonies of the ages and the many ways they reveal the Testimony of the Ages Himself.

“For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.” 2 Cor 4:6

Healing Rooms
11/23/2014 3:45pm - 4:45pm

If you are wrestling with physical sickness, a chronic disease, a painful injury, or a heavy emotional burden, then there is good news for you. God's Word says that He is exceedingly kind and loves to heal (Psalm 103:1-5). During His earthly ministry, Jesus healed all who came to Him (Matthew 4:24). God has promised that the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick (James 5:15). Therefore, we want to stand with you in prayer and faith, believing God to perform a healing work in your life.

Our Healing Rooms will be held from 3:45 - 4:45 pm on Sunday evenings weekly.

Appointments for personal ministry can be made starting at 3:30 pm on a first-come, first-serve basis. This personal time of ministry will typically last 20 minutes with one of our Healing Rooms ministry teams.

Prophecy Rooms
11/23/2014 3:45pm - 4:45pm

At IHOP Atlanta, we desire to encourage and strengthen believers through the prophetic ministry. We have prophecy teams that are trained to hear the heart of the Lord for people and to minister His words of encouragement, edification, and exhortation (1 Cor 14:3). It is our prayer that believers will be strengthened in their faith and have a clearer understanding of how God feels and thinks about them after receiving ministry in the prophecy rooms. If you desire to encounter God's love for you in practical way, we encourage you to sign up for a ministry time in our prophecy rooms.

The prophecy rooms are open on Sundays from 3:45-4:45 PM. Appointments can be made 15 minutes prior. They are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Appointments typically last 10 minutes and are recorded for your convenience.

Encounter Service
11/23/2014 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Each service incorporates prophetic worship, Biblical teaching, prayer, and ministry times. Each service is geared to call individuals to a depth of the knowledge of God, intimacy with Jesus, urgency for the hour, and the Sermon on the Mount lifestyle. Through proclamation and impartation, each service is focused on providing a place for encounter with God for the individual, as well as generating a shift in the spiritual atmosphere over the city of Atlanta. Immediately following the service, there is an Information meeting for anyone desiring more information regarding IHOP Atlanta.
