Frequently Asked Questions

What does the weekly schedule look like for the Joshua Internship

Joshua Internship interns will be involved with IHOP Atlanta Missions Base activities at least 40-45 hours per week. This will involve weekly internship and school of ministry classes, prayer room hours and helps ministry hours. There will also be times of community building and occasional seminars or conferences.

I am younger than 50 but I feel drawn to do the Joshua Internship

Absolutely! The Joshua Internship is for mature adults who are near 50 or older than 50. If you are younger than 50, you are more than welcome to join the internship.

What is the housing situation for Joshua Internship participants?

Married couples and families are responsible for finding their own housing arrangements.

Singles may apply for accommodations in IHOP Atlanta's intern housing condominiums. Housing for single Joshua Internship participants is only offered if there is space available and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The IHOP Atlanta condominiums residents are grouped by gender. Each condominium is fully furnished and will accommodate between 6 to 8 individuals. Residents who are participating in IHOP Atlanta's Pursuit and Watch internships will be under the supervision of Resident Assistants, but RA's will not be provided for Joshua Internship participants.

All those in IHOP Atlanta housing will be expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the Housing Department, which will include regular inspections of each residence. Alcohol and tobacco products are not permitted.

How do I apply for IHOP Atlanta housing?

If you are single, you may fill out the Housing Application and send it in the same envelope as your Joshua Internship Application.

Do I need a car?

All Joshua Internship participants must provide their own reliable transportation. Exceptions are possible with prior approval. All personal vehicles must have valid insurance coverage.

Do I need a laptop computer?

Much of the day-to-day communication at IHOP Atlanta takes place over the internet through email. It is highly recommended, but not required that Joshua Internship participants have at least one laptop computer per family. Laptops are very helpful not only for communication, but also for Bible study and journaling. Laptops should have a wireless network card and a Bible Study program.

What personal expenses should I expect?

You are responsible for providing the necessary personal finances to cover your food, housing, social activities, and any other personal expenditures during the program.

Are there any other rules for Joshua Internship participants?

You are expected to be free of any personal addictions (to alcohol, drugs, tobacco, pornography, etc.) before applying for the Joshua Internship. Due to the intensity of this program, it is recommended that you be free from any such addictions for at least six months prior to your arrival. Our desire is for Joshua Internship participants to be able to focus their undivided attention upon the Lord, rather than struggling with frequent temptations in the area of recently overcome addictions.

Attendance during all scheduled Joshua Internship hours is required in order to remain in the program. Exceptions will be made for illnesses and family emergencies.

Will I be able to have a part-time job during the Joshua Internship?

Because your time will be scheduled for at least 40 hours per week, holding down a part-time job during the Joshua internship would be very difficult. It is recommended that you have enough finances to cover all of you expenses for the three month duration of the internship before starting the program. If you decide to attempt a part-time job during the Joshua internship, your work must be planned so as not to conflict with the Joshua program schedule.

Are meals provided in the cost of the program?

No, except for occasional community times no meals are provided. All Joshua participants will be responsible for buying and preparing their own meals.

When is the Joshua Internship offered?

There will be a fall term, a winter term and a summer term.

Healing Rooms
11/2/2014 3:45pm - 4:45pm

If you are wrestling with physical sickness, a chronic disease, a painful injury, or a heavy emotional burden, then there is good news for you. God's Word says that He is exceedingly kind and loves to heal (Psalm 103:1-5). During His earthly ministry, Jesus healed all who came to Him (Matthew 4:24). God has promised that the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick (James 5:15). Therefore, we want to stand with you in prayer and faith, believing God to perform a healing work in your life.

Our Healing Rooms will be held from 3:45 - 4:45 pm on Sunday evenings weekly.

Appointments for personal ministry can be made starting at 3:30 pm on a first-come, first-serve basis. This personal time of ministry will typically last 20 minutes with one of our Healing Rooms ministry teams.

Prophecy Rooms
11/2/2014 3:45pm - 4:45pm

At IHOP Atlanta, we desire to encourage and strengthen believers through the prophetic ministry. We have prophecy teams that are trained to hear the heart of the Lord for people and to minister His words of encouragement, edification, and exhortation (1 Cor 14:3). It is our prayer that believers will be strengthened in their faith and have a clearer understanding of how God feels and thinks about them after receiving ministry in the prophecy rooms. If you desire to encounter God's love for you in practical way, we encourage you to sign up for a ministry time in our prophecy rooms.

The prophecy rooms are open on Sundays from 3:45-4:45 PM. Appointments can be made 15 minutes prior. They are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Appointments typically last 10 minutes and are recorded for your convenience.

Encounter Service
11/2/2014 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Each service incorporates prophetic worship, Biblical teaching, prayer, and ministry times. Each service is geared to call individuals to a depth of the knowledge of God, intimacy with Jesus, urgency for the hour, and the Sermon on the Mount lifestyle. Through proclamation and impartation, each service is focused on providing a place for encounter with God for the individual, as well as generating a shift in the spiritual atmosphere over the city of Atlanta. Immediately following the service, there is an Information meeting for anyone desiring more information regarding IHOP Atlanta.
Global Bridegroom Fast
11/3/2014 to 11/5/2014
The Global Bridegroom Fast is a monthly, solemn assembly of believers all over the globe in unified holy abandonment to Jesus for three days. We are calling believers worldwide to join together in unified prayer and fasting for revival motivated by experiencing love for Jesus. This is not simply an event, but a new lifestyle in the grace of God. Anyone in any place can participate in the Global Bridegroom Fast. At IHOP Atlanta, we set aside these three days as corporate fasting days for anyone who wants to participate.
