IHOP ATLANTA HISTORYIn October of 2004, we started IHOP Atlanta with trembling in our hearts, yet hopeful that the Lord would indeed build His house of prayer. We started with 40 hours a week of worship and prayer and as God added new people, we added more prayer. In a short period of time, we expanded our weekly prayer meetings to cover 75 hours and later, 120 hours a week. We were amazed as God continued to bring people who, in spite of their own human weakness, were committed to giving themselves to the vision of night and day prayer. On February 12, 2006 what was previously only a dream became a reality, as the IHOP Atlanta prayer room was expanded to cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The prayer meeting that started on February 12, 2006 continues to this day, without ceasing. God has continued to gather people from around the nation to see that the fire on the altar never goes out. It's astounding to think that there has never been a worship-led prayer meeting that continued unabated for this length of time in our city, until now! CalendarAwakening Services7/30/2010 to 8/1/2010Service times are: Fridays and Saturdays at 7 pm Encounter Service8/1/2010 10:00am - 1:00pmThe IHOP Atlanta Encounter Service is held twice weekly, on Sundays at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Each service incorporates prophetic worship, Biblical teaching, prayer, and ministry times. Each service is geared to call individuals to a depth of the knowledge of God, intimacy with Jesus, urgency for the hour, and the Sermon on the Mount lifestyle. Through proclamation and impartation, each service is focused on providing a place for encounter with God for the individual, as well as generating a shift in the spiritual atmosphere over the city of Atlanta. Immediately following the service, there is an Information meeting for anyone desiring more information regarding IHOP Atlanta. Global Bridegroom Fast8/2/2010 to 8/4/2010The Global Bridegroom Fast is a monthly, solemn assembly of believers all over the globe in unified holy abandonment to Jesus for three days. We are calling believers worldwide to join together in unified prayer and fasting for revival motivated by experiencing love for Jesus. This is not simply an event, but a new lifestyle in the grace of God. Anyone in any place can participate in the Global Bridegroom Fast. At IHOP Atlanta, we set aside these three days as corporate fasting days for anyone who wants to participate.
GSM: The Book of Daniel8/2/2010 6:00pm - 8:00pmThe book of Daniel is to the Old Testament what the book of Revelation is to the New Testament. The book details many familiar stories, such as: Daniel's three friends in the fiery furnace, Nebuchadnezzar's insanity, and Daniel in the lion's den. Yet the book of Daniel is much more than just a collection of great stories, it is a book that testifies of the Most High God as the "Revealer of Mysteries" (Dan 2:47) and powerfully exhibits the sovereignty of God (Dan 2:21). The Book of Daniel is one of the most foundational studies on the subject of the end times. Anyone who has a desire to gain insight into dreams, visions and the realm of the prophetic, as well as understand the activity of the end of the age is invited to come and gain "skill to understand" (Dan 9:22). Staff Intercession Meeting8/3/2010 4:00pm - 6:00pmTuesday is a designated prayer and fasting day for IHOP Atlanta staff and family. We have scheduled intercession meetings at 10 a.m., 4 p.m., 8 p.m., and midnight. We ask that all staff make it a priority to attend the weekly Tuesday 4 p.m. intercession meeting, as this is the one time weekly that we come together as a community for worship and intercession. Full-time staff are required to attend the 4 p.m. and an additional intercession meeting on Tuesday. Part-time staff are required to attend only the 4 p.m. intercession meeting. This meeting is open to the public as are all IHOP Atlanta prayer meetings |
